The Ultimate Do’s & Don’ts of a Summer Office Wardrobe

The Ultimate Do’s & Don’ts of a Summer Office Wardrobe

It’s barely even summer yet, but the warm weather isn’t holding back. Only midway into Spring and we’ve already experienced 30-degree heat! So, as the weather starts warming up, it’s time to take a look at your summer office wardrobe and learn some of the major do’s and don’ts that will guide you to a wardrobe that everyone will be jealous of!

DO: Relax it back a little!

During winter, you may have found yourself swaying towards jackets and pants a bit more. And often, covering up a bit more can have a slightly serious effect! But with the warmer months rolling in, now is the time to relax your wardrobe back a bit and show some of your dresses some love!

DON’T: Relax too much

While summer means cooler outfits which show a little extra skin, it’s important to maintain a professional attitude with your outfits! If you’re walking around in mini shorts and a singlet top, chances are your boss isn’t going to be taking you too seriously.

DO: Play with colours

There’s a certain feeling in the air when summer time rolls around. Even though you may be spending your weekdays working hard in the office, you can still bring the outside indoors by incorporating some colour into your office wardrobe!

DON’T: Go to hard with the prints

Who doesn’t love a bit of print and pattern in their wardrobe? From florals to animal print, it’s important to know how to wear them in the office. Too much and you’ll be overdoing it. But add in a printed skirt, or patterned bag and you’ll be the envy of all others!

DO: Put your best foot forward

There are so many variations of footwear that are available to women for the office. Especially with the slides trend brought on by the infamous Gucci fur slides, women are able to expand their footwear collection a whole lot more! So if you needed an excuse to get out there and purchase even more shoes, this is your excuse girls!

DON’T: Sport torn denim in the office

The torn denim trend is going crazy right now, but it’s one of those things that are best left for the weekend. Rips and tears in the office can come across as unprofessional.
